Thanksgiving in the Park
Today is Thanksgiving, a holiday obviously not celebrated here in Egypt. This does not mean that we had school today, it's the American University in Cairo, celebrating Egyptian and American major holidays. Because we didn't have classes today, my Arabic class had decided that we would go on our field trip today, and we went to Al Azhar Park in Cairo.
It's beautiful there. We ate at the restaurant where I had a super yummy drink. It's warm milk, peanuts, raisins, and cinnamon.
My Arabic teacher, Farida (her means "unique" in Arabic) and I with my newly henna'd (dyed) black hair. What do you think?
